Self-emulsifying carrier (dyeing accelerator) for polyester and polyester blends.
TANAVOL™ PEP 01 is an effective, odourless carrier with low volatility. It is recommended primarily for use when dyeing polyester/wool blends. Its use prevents the staining of wool with disperse dyes.
Optimum results are obtained at 106–135°C. When dyeing polyester/wool blends, the temperature should not exceed 120°C in order to maintain the quality of the wool. The use of a wool protection agent such as TANAPAL® KPA is imperative above 108°C.
In open dyeing machines with a dyeing temperature of 95°C - 98°C the acceleration effect is only sufficient for pale shades.
