SPANSCOUR® AFA prevents or reduces yellowing of polyamide, polyester and blends of these fibres with elastane fibres during heat-setting.
The SPANSCOUR® AFA prevents the oxidation of the amino-end groups of polyamide during heat-setting. Due to this prevention- mechanism, higher colour-yields can be found when dyeing polyamide and results in better reproducibility.
The product is non-substantive and is therefore especially recommended for pad application. The best results are obtained by applying SPANSCOUR® AFA before heat treatment. After heat treatment the goods are washed off.
Reductive bleaching or fluorescent whitening may be carried out at the same time. The goods can be dyed as usual after the wash-off routine.
