When bleaching and dyeing cotton and cotton blends, large amounts of ions such as calcium and magnesium from hard water may have a negative impact. Heavy metal ions such as iron, manganese and copper ions act as catalysts in hydrogen peroxide bleaching. This impairs the bleaching process and causes catalytic damage.
PLEXENE® APR removes and chelates the interfering ions. This enhances the reliability of subsequent processes such as bleaching, dyeing and printing.
