Phosphorus based flame retardant for polyester in exhaust.
FLAMEGARD™ PX is applicable for 100% polyester and blends, especially blends with wool. FLAMEGARD™ PX imparts a durable flame retardancy when applied during the dyeing process. It is suitable for loose stock, yarn or piece application at high temperature or atmospheric conditions.
To obtain flame retardant properties FLAMEGARD™ PX can be added to the dyebath. This can be with or without the dyes. It is easy to use and no risk of shade change due to extra thermofixation.
It is recommended to use TANASPERSE® OLG-PX as emulsifying agent to ease and ensure an evenly emulsification of the FLAMEGARD™ PX and thus to achieve the optimum result regarding flame retardant properties.
In atmospheric or under pressure, both levelling agent and carrier can often be removed from a typical dyebath recipe when using FLAMEGARD™ PX and TANASPERSE® OLG-PX.
