EDOLAN® XPS is a very effective foaming- and foam stabilising agent for mechanically foamed coatings. It will result in nice homogeneous foams with a fine pore structure for optimal coating effects. With EDOLAN® XPS foam weights under 200 g/l are possible.
Addition of the EDOLAN® XPS should be done under neutral to strong alkaline conditions as the product is not stable to acid conditions. The EDOLAN® XPS is also sensitive to hard water salts and therefore it is recommended to dilute with demineralised water only. For normal coating applications, dilution before addition is not necessary.
