Treasury & Accounting Specialist
At TANATEX Chemicals, we are looking for an analytical and detail-oriented Treasury & Accounting Specialist to join our Finance team. In this versatile role, you will combine treasury and accounting responsibilities, ensuring efficient cash management, accurate financial reporting, and strong compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
You will work closely with the Finance Manager to support daily treasury operations, optimize financial processes, and contribute to a reliable and well-controlled financial organization.
A selection of your responsibilities
- Cash Management & Operations: Monitor daily cash balances, execute cash positioning and cash concentration activities, process payments and intercompany funding transactions, and support short- and medium-term cash flow forecasting.
- Liquidity & Working Capital: Support liquidity management by monitoring cash inflows and outflows, identifying potential liquidity risks, and contributing to the optimization of working capital and cash utilization.
- Banking Administration: Maintain bank accounts, manage account openings, closures, and mandate updates, act as the operational contact for banking partners, and support initiatives to optimize banking costs.
- Financial Risk Management: Assist in the execution of foreign exchange (FX) transactions and hedging activities, monitor FX and interest rate exposures, and ensure compliance with treasury policies.
- Treasury Systems & Controls: Maintain treasury management systems (TMS), ensure accurate transaction processing and documentation, and support internal controls, audits, and compliance requirements.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare treasury reports, including cash positions, liquidity forecasts, and financial exposures. Support variance analyses and provide financial insights to the Finance team.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve treasury processes, increase automation, and support treasury-related projects such as system implementations and cash pooling initiatives.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance: Support the preparation of financial statements and disclosures while ensuring compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Audit Support: Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for internal and external audits. Coordinate audit requests, assist in resolving audit findings, and support the implementation of process improvements resulting from audit recommendations.
What we are looking for
- A Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Approximately 2–3 years of relevant experience in treasury, accounting, finance, or a comparable role.
- Experience with cash management, financial reporting, and audit support.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements.
- A structured, accurate, and proactive working style with a strong eye for detail.
- The ability to work effectively with finance colleagues, business departments, and external stakeholders.
- A solid understanding of internal controls, compliance, and financial processes.
- Excellent communication skills in English. Knowledge of Chinese is required for this role.
