Development Specialist

Within TANATEX Chemicals B.V., the Development Specialist is part of the Marketing and Technology department. The Development Specialist cooperated closely with the PM’s under the ‘PM Manager’ in development of new products or the modification of existing products and aids/advises to the plant (production).

A few of your work-activities and responsibilities

  • Research: Carry out development activities by developing new or modified formulations leading to new or updated products. Close cooperation with the product managers to ensure close alignment to the needs of the customer. Searching for second suppliers for margin increases and security of the raw materials.
  • R&D Experiments: Setting-up and conduct laboratory experiments and tests and contribute to the translation of results into practical applications. Supervise trials in production where applicable.
  • Insights and Reporting: Document and communicate the results of the Development experiments (with the possible help of a colleague) to the project team and manager. Prepare documents, maintain databases and archiving the data in a traceable manner using a variety of computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
  • Personal Capability Building: Develop and maintain excellent process or technical skills by participating in assessment and Personal Development Plan as well as formal and informal training and coaching.
  • Quality, Health, Environment and Safety: Follow the organization's QHES policies, procedures and mandatory instructions; to identify and mitigate risks, and to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others.

What we are looking for in you

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree.
  • Over 6 months of experience in a similar position within the Chemical Industry and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems.
  • Good communicative skills and capable of communication with people with various fields of expertise and on all levels.
  • Taking ownership of tasks and projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to required quality standards.
  • Effectively prioritising and planning work while aligning efforts with the broader goals of the team and organization.
  • Tailoring approaches to the specific needs of each situation, delivering the most relevant and effective solutions.
