Data Analyst & ESG Coordinator

As a Data Analyst & ESG Coordinator, you play a key role in ensuring the reliability, consistency, and usability of data across the organization.

Your primary focus will be on data management, analysis, and supporting financial processes, including the financial close. In addition, you will contribute to the coordination of ESG data collection and reporting, supporting TANATEX in meeting evolving sustainability requirements.

In this role, you work closely with Finance, Business Partners, Operations, and Sustainability stakeholders. You contribute to data-driven decision-making and support the organization in improving both financial and ESG reporting processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure data integrity, alignment, and standardization across multiple systems.
  • Support the financial closing process by preparing and analyzing relevant data.
  • Maintain and manage intercompany pricing data (e.g. cost prices).
  • Develop, maintain, and improve reports and dashboards for business and management.
  • Translate business needs into clear data insights and reporting solutions.
  • Support the collection, validation, and consolidation of ESG data across all entities.
  • Assist in implementing ESG data processes in line with VSME, ESRS, and CSRD requirements.
  • Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of sustainability reports.
  • Support monitoring of ESG KPIs and improvement actions.
  • Support the selection and optimization of data and ESG reporting tools.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders (Finance, Operations, HR, Procurement, R&D, and Product Compliance).
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of data quality and reporting processes.

What we expect from you

  • Availability for 40 hours per week.
  • Excellent command of the English language; knowledge of Dutch is considered a plus.
  • Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Data Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience in data analysis, finance, or sustainability is a plus.
  • Strong interest in data, business processes, and sustainability.
  • Experience with BI tools is a plus.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Basic coding skills (e.g. Python, SQL) are considered a plus.
  • Affinity with sustainability frameworks (VSME, ESRS, CSRD, EcoVadis) is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders in an international environment.
