Chemistry Traineeship – Textile Innovation
At TANATEX Chemicals, we are looking for three enthusiastic trainees to join our TANATEX Academy. Are you a recent graduate with a passion for chemistry and an interest in the textile industry? As a trainee, you will become part of our Technical Laboratories in Ede, working alongside experienced chemists, young professionals, and fellow trainees. During this two-year traineeship, you will gain valuable hands-on experience while developing both your technical expertise and professional skills.
About the traineeship
The TANATEX Academy is designed to provide you with a strong foundation in textile chemistry through a combination of practical experience, theoretical training, and personal development. Throughout the program, you will work on customer projects, product development, and innovative solutions that contribute to a more sustainable textile industry.
A selection of your responsibilities
- Development: Support the development of innovative chemical solutions for textile dyeing, functional textile finishing, and textile coatings.
- Laboratory Activities: Conduct laboratory experiments, analyse test results, and contribute to customer and internal laboratory projects.
- Product Development: Assist in developing and optimizing products and processes in collaboration with our Research department and technical specialists.
- Customer Support: Support technical customer projects and gain insight into customer challenges by participating in customer visits alongside experienced colleagues.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues from different departments to develop practical and sustainable solutions for the textile industry.
- Training & Development: Participate in both theoretical and practical training sessions covering wet textile processes, chemical applications, and industry best practices.
- Coaching & Personal Growth: Receive guidance from an experienced coach, collaborate with fellow trainees, and further develop your communication, presentation, and professional skills.
- Innovation & Sustainability: Contribute to innovative and environmentally responsible solutions that help shape the future of the textile industry.
- Quality, Health, Environment & Safety (QHES): Work in accordance with TANATEX's QHES standards and actively contribute to a safe and sustainable laboratory environment.
What we are looking for
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- A strong personal motivation to participate in the TANATEX Academy.
- A hands-on, pragmatic, and result-oriented mindset combined with creativity and curiosity.
- A genuine interest in innovation, chemistry, and sustainable textile solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
- A collaborative team player who enjoys working in an international environment.
- A strong commitment to working safely and according to laboratory procedures.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Dutch language skills are considered an advantage.
- You are in possession of a valid Dutch residence permit.
- You are available for a fulltime position (40 hours per week).
