Chelating agent to remove heavy metal impurities in strongly alkaline liquors.
PLEXENE® FED has high bonding capacity for iron, copper, manganese and other transition metal ions in strongly alkaline medium. The main applications are boiling-off, scouring, kier-boiling, mercerisation and alkalisation.
As well as its bonding capacity for heavy metal ions PLEXENE® FED has very good dispersing capacity for hard water salts and alkaline earths on the substrate and high soil bonding capacity.
Suitable for use in vat dyeing.
