Treating wool clothing and carpets with a moth-proofing finish is common practice in the wool industry. To treat wool against moths, carpet beetles and furriers beetle you need an easy to applicate finish that complies with biocide regulations. Our Wool Protection Concept offers exactly that. Our product EULAN® SPA 01 is the weapon of choice of most textile manufacturers worldwide against wool-eating insects.

MOTHPROOFING AGENT

The ammunition that is used for wool protection is permethrin. It is way more toxic to insects than it is to warm blooded creatures, which is why it is recommended by the World Health Organization as public health pesticide.

D-DAY FOR BIOCIDE REGULATIONS

The use of biocidal products is subject to regulations. As of September 1st 2015 only officially registered products can be sold in Europe. In some cases textile manufacturers have to register their products too.
